Ashford Memorial Methodist Church

After church, we got to spend a little time playing GaGa ball. This is the first time playing this game for a lot of us, we had a blast!

Yesterday afternoon we visited the Houston Space Center. It was an out of this world experience. 

We ended our day yesterday with some great worship lead by the wife of one of our PPM staff. 

We finished strong at the Houston Food Bank. Together with other volunteers we unpacked, sorted, cleaned, and repacked 13,452 pounds of food. That equals 11,210 meals that the food bank can distribute to the 18 counties surrounding Houston. 

This morning half of our group is at Impact Houston. We are distributing food to people driving up. They hear a 10-minute Bible study before they get the food. It is so awesome to be part of blessing this community. 

This morning half of the group served at a local soup kitchen in downtown Houston. We helped prepare and serve about 318 meals for lunch to those who needed them! It was so cool to see all those who were served to be thankful for what they were given!

This afternoon we all went to Kemah Boardwalk for a little fun. We walked around, played carnival games, and rode rides. 

This morning are back at Memorial Baptist Church painting the stripes. During the painting, a can of paint was spilled and we had to spend some time cleaning it up. It was cleaned up well and you can't even tell the paint was spilled. 

This morning half of our group spend their time serving at Faith Center. We helped sort men’s and women's clothes and put them out for people to shop. We also helped put out bags for people to put their clothes in after they finished shopping. We then helped people pick out groceries to take back home to their families. We served approximately 13 families today! It was an awesome experience to give back to the community of Houston!

Last night we went back to Impact Houston and helped with their Wednesday night food distribution.  They were really busy due to the holiday earlier in the week, but it was so satisfying serving all of those people. 

This morning we have half of the group passing out groceries to the customers and then we have a couple of people in the back sorting clothes. Our very own William is sitting in with a Spanish speaker who is a witness for Christ!
