West Independence Church

We started out the morning with church and then went for a hike in the afternoon at Natural Bridge Overlook. It was amazing to see the beauty of nature! 

This morning we spent some time listening to the story of the flood which happened in March of 2021. Everything at Riverside Christian School was lost except for two buildings. 

We also cleaned out the old music room. We didn’t realize how much stuff there was that needed to be cleaned out. We worked together and got everything out!

Today we spent time cleaning out the locker room of the school. It’s the only room that hasn’t been touched since the flood but we emptied it out and cleaned everything by hand!

We ended our night with a bonfire and 'smores. We shared our God moments that happened during the work day and listened in awe of how God worked. Even something so simple as cleaning up mud or sitting around a bonfire was a big blessing!

Today, some of us spent the morning building scaffolding so we could fix the ceiling tiles that were in the gym. We were able to fix all of the ones that were falling out!
