Ed and Joel came this morning to lead a really engaging Bible study with our team. We read through a portion of 1 Thessalonians and compared Paul's ministry with our own pursuits. What an engaging time to lean into God's word before our service in the homeless community.

This afternoon we had the privilege of supporting Westside Alive with an outreach for a small group of kids. We sang songs, played games, shared stories, and made crafts.
We are so excited that we get to see these kids two more days this week. We know God has amazing things planned for each of these young lives!

In the afternoon the team was able to spend some time on the beach. We shared stories and passed out some Gospel tracts to those we encountered on the beach. We did get some water time in as well. We ended the night with a slip and slide, and are ready for some good sleep!

One group stayed at the church today to clean and paint the walls. We are so excited to be a part of brightening up the church. We also got a visit from Pastor Olivia who was such an encouragement to us. We had so much fun working and seeing the changes being made!

Our second day of VBS brought in many more students. We had a great time seeing the ones that came on Monday and meeting their new friends as well. Even more people were able to hear the Gospel story as Gabbi shared her heart with the kids. We can't believe we only have one more day with these guys, but we love supporting Uncle Joel with his ministry!

We spent our last day working the the boat harbor community. We moved trash and wood pallets out of the walking paths. We ended helping a man named Bully and reconnected with others we had met earlier in the week. It is so sad to think this is our last day with these amazing people!

Today was our last day at the kids outreach. We had a water balloon fight and shave ice today. Aaron and the skit crew performed a Gospel center skit and Ian shared the Bible with the kids. We had the biggest crowd we have had had week. So many friends were made and tears were shed at the end. God, be in this place!

One of our group traditions is the late night hair dye session. We stayed up a little later than usual to add a little spice to our hair. Mariah did a great job convincing participation and helping us all look nice for our rec day tomorrow. Looking forward to our new looks!
