Strong Rock Christian School

We checked out a local beach this afternoon and are prepping for the team to arrive! Just a few more hours until they're here.

After a great night's sleep, we were all up around 6am to get ready for the day! This morning we're having our orientation meeting and then attending church service with our partner Kauai Baptist Church!

We had a great service Sunday morning. Noah, Jackson, and Carmen all shared a short testimony. We were able to sing a worship song in Hawaiian and pray in small groups for our week. It was awesome to see the differences in the service, but to know that we all come together with the same heart.

We spent Sunday afternoon with the youth group from Kauai Baptist Church. There were about 52 of us in total! We started out at Hanalei, but after about an hour and a half of sprinkling, it started pouring down rain. We decided to load up and head to a beach with a little more sunshine. We finally landed at Kalihiwai. It was an incredible afternoon and evening of making new friends eating a delicious meal and playing on the beach.

We spent the afternoon passing out flyers to invite people to the Easter service. After that, we had an awesome lasagna dinner from Auntie Jenny! It was delicious. 

We wrapped up the evening by heading to Poipu beach and got to see a sea turtle, seal, and a beautiful sunset! 

We had a busy Tuesday! We worked hard around the church. We did more trash dumps, drywalled, painted, landscaped, and even passed out Easter fliers.

We ended the day with dinner from the church community. It was such a full day, but so life-giving to continue to pour out into this place.

We had an amazing night hanging out at Kealia Beach. We played smash face with the youth and everyone was laughing. For dinner we ate hotdogs around a bonfire. We ended the night singing worship songs and eating s'mores. It was our last time to see several of the youth. We're going to miss them all!
