Church Service!!

by Mia Wichmann | July 10, 2022 9:06 PM

We enjoyed worshiping and praising with Vida Abundante this morning! It was great to lift up the Lord as one body together, despite the language barriers. We are grateful for welcoming us, singing worship songs in both English and Spanish, as well as translating the sermon.

Prepping for the School Year

by Mia Wichmann | July 11, 2022 1:26 PM

This morning a group of us went to a local middle school. Nathanael Greene Middle School houses around 1,300 students. We were able to complete some projects and small jobs that needed to be done before the school year begins. Here we are checking locker combinations and preparing for them to be ready. Since Covid, students have not used the lockers.

Organizing Computers 🖥

by Mia Wichmann | July 11, 2022 1:29 PM

During COVID, students remained virtual or hybrid and used chrome books. In this upcoming school year, however, Rhode Island has decided to have students return fully in person without providing laptops. That meant that all the students returned their chargers and computers in a 2-day rush. We had to make sure each cart had a computer and charger in each slot.

Prepping classrooms

by Mia Wichmann | July 11, 2022 2:13 PM

We helped clear out some classrooms for them to prepare for the new school year. This included moving desks and chairs up a few floors into a closet.

Devo in the Park!

by Mia Wichmann | July 11, 2022 2:15 PM

We had some quiet time for our devotional in a nearby park. Today we studied reflecting unity, just as we are fully welcomed, accepted, and loved in Christ.

Beautifying School Grounds

by Mia Wichmann | July 12, 2022 12:19 PM

Today we went back to Nathanael Greene Middle School. We helped Ms. Smith with mulching and planting. The mulch piles had been baking in the sun for a while to a point where they were starting small fires.

👑 King

by Mia Wichmann | July 13, 2022 7:43 AM

A highlight of Bible story for the young kids is to make an invisible crown on their heads every time “king” is said in the story.
