We arrived in Dawson Springs, Kentucky after traveling most of the day. Upon arrival we were shown our rooms, unpacked and participated in an orientation meeting. The First Baptist Church of Dawson Springs is our host and their facilities are very nice. We are blessed to be here and look forward to what God will do.

This morning we had a great time of fellowship and worship with FBC Dawson Springs, our host church. They treated us to breakfast and afterwards we were part of a Bible study. Following this we attended the worship service where we were warmly received.
Later in the afternoon we visited one of our worksites for the week. We will build front and back decks for a family whose home was destroyed during the December 2021 tornado. The front steps were all that remains from the original home. It will be an honor to serve God as we minister to this family.

Today we began ministering to the family for whom we are building the decks. While one part of the team began the actual construction part of the project, another part bought groceries and prepared meals for the family. They also bought plants that will be placed in a flower garden for the family.

Today we completed work on the front deck and began constructing the back deck. Part of our team helped cut down a damaged tree in the yard of senior adult members of our host church.

Today we completed the back deck for the homeowners. Everyone who saw the work was highly pleased. Most importantly, we were able to glorify God through our labor of love.

Today we have the honor of beginning to paint the interior walls for the new home of a couple whose former home was totally destroyed during the December 2021 tornado. It was very meaningful to hear their story of how God protected them from harm even through the tragedy of having their home basically blown away. What a privilege to serve God by helping these fellow believers.

Our young people worked very hard helping complete projects we have been doing. Today we treated them to a morning at the Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park. They enjoyed beach volleyball, swimming, throwing the frisbee and just spending time with each other.

We started work on the 3rd deck this week. The deck was for an elderly deaf gentleman whose home was destroyed by the December 2021 tornado. Our crew was able to get the form, steps, and floor decking all completed today.

Today we continued work on the Baird house. We finished painting and were also able to install kitchen cabinets and the kitchen sink. Several members of our churches gave money to be used during our trip. Because of their generosity, we were able to bless this family by purchasing new kitchen appliances. The family was so appreciative and praised God for this unexpected blessing.
