Bentheim Reformed Church

The team has arrived safe and sound to the lodging facility. Everyone was given a quick tour to get the layout of the building. Now it's time to get all the air beds inflated and rooms set up for the week. After that we will all meet up together for a time of worship and an opening introduction for the week. 

Everyone enjoyed worship service today!  Pastor preached from 1 Corinthians 12. We are all important parts of the body of Christ. Great worship music, very upbeat and energetic. 

For the first day of missions, the team packs bags to give to one of the organizations around Memphis! They ended up making over 100 bags to give!

After shopping for the meal, we started the preparation. We broke up into several work stations to prepare. Here are a few of the awesome salad crew. The guys loved the fresh salad tonight.

At Calvary Rescue Mission, we are cooking dinner for those that stay at the center! Everyone is working very hard!

We received a tour inside the building of Calvary. We learned about the different experiences of the people that have been at Calvary and how important it is to people! This building and the people who work here serve God by serving others!

The girls are helping weed the garden at Urban Garden! Even though they went in the morning it was still hot! They worked hard and got a lot done!

Today some of us served over 200 meals to those is need of a fresh, plentiful meal. We served up chicken wings, BBQ ribs, potato wedges, Mac and cheese and more. The folks really enjoyed the meal and the team did awesome 

The second half of the team is working at the urban garden this morning! It was a very successful day and there were a lot of weeds that were pulled!

Everyone played games in the gym at the Oasis ministry! They played dodgeball and steal the cup! It was a fun time!

The team enjoyed a fun day yesterday which included a tour of the civil rights museum, bass pro shops and a river boat ride, not to mention a great lunch at Central BBQ. 

Today, the team got up at 5 am, loaded the trailer and had breakfast and was on the road at 6am. It has been a solid week of ministry and hard work! Thank you team for making this week memorable to say the least. I would welcome you back anytime!! Blessing to each of you!
