Blue Student Ministry

We made it last night and got settled in! After a good night of sleep we attended church and excited to get to know our partner church!!

During church service this morning, Pastor Melissa gave each father on our team and from their congregation a small tool box! It was a special moment of appreciation and honor :) 

Part of our group had the honor of serving at a resource center by cleaning and organizing anything in sight! We worked on organizing the library to be more user friendly and we discovered many new books!

Today we served at the baby pantry in Welch, West Virginia! We helped organize baby clothes, bibs, baby formula, diapers and more! Our team loved looking at all the cute baby clothes :) We can’t wait to see these items used in the community!

The first night of VBS was a success!!! Our team was getting the kiddos excited with lots of bubbles and dancing! We’re looking forward to an exciting week of fun and fellowship :)

Today we had the privilege of cleaning and organizing the upstairs of Mrs. Long’s house in Gary! While on a deserved lunch break, we listened to Mrs. Long tell stories and we were able to hear both her story and her grandson Coty’s story! It was such a privilege to listen to her wisdom and experience!!

On Monday a group of us assembled a shelf set, washed windows, did some weed eating, organized food on the shelves, and packed food bags to give out.

Yesterday, our team scraped old paint off a soon-to-be ice cream shop in Welch! It was hard work but we are looking forward to this building being transformed to bless the community :)

We got to work at the resource center again yesterday! Many of us were cleaning heating vents, painting, and whatever else needed done! Working like a machine we got the work done!!

On our last day of ministry those of us that were at Living Waters finished painting and getting the building up to fire code by mounting fire extinguishers!! We had a fun time getting to serve such a wonderful ministry!!
