Abundant Life Assembly of God

Our Costa Rican friends Erik and Maikel will be serving with the team throughout the week. They are more than excited to start a new journey with us alongside the community of San Rafael in Liberia. 

People responded well to God’s call this morning. They were encouraged to continue being faithful to spread His kingdom to their families, friends, and communities.

Pastor Jeff brought the word tonight at our second service. We learned about the communion, unity, and faith that the first church and first believers had. They were focused on spreading the gospel and having fellowship with one another.

Our main project on this trip is painting Pastor Adolfo’s house. The team helped put on the first coat of paint, and we were able to finish half of the exterior walls.

The women also had an incredible time painting a cross on a canvas, where they showed their excellent creative skills.

What a blessing it is to be God’s hands extended in Costa Rica. Today, we were able to visit 8 more families during food distribution. It’s also been a blessing to us to hear their stories and the work they do for this community.

In the afternoon, we continued serving with the children of the church. We had a blast as we learned about the peace that can be found in Jesus. No matter the stormy moments we may have, Jesus is there with us to comfort us.

We also were able to deliver a bag to Pastor Adolfo. We heard he had been giving some of his groceries to brothers and sisters in need, so we decided to bless him with a bag full of food to honor the work he does at the church.

Pastor Jeff blessed Jacqueline’s life with new Bibles for her and her family!

Julie, Cheryl, Nancy, and Sue made some incredible bracelets to thank the ladies who served in the kitchen to feed us well all weel. We prayed over each bracelet to be a blessing to each of them.

We celebrated with our family the fantastic week we had. We heard from them about the miracles God worked throughout the week, but we also shared with them the highlights and godly moments we experienced as we ministered to them. It was a beautiful celebration where we spent time with our family in Christ.
