Autumn Ridge Church

We were able to hear from the host pastor and talk about what we get to do this week to serve the church and the community. 

Today we got to serve a man in the local community by power washing his house! Halfway through, we got caught in a rainstorm, but during the storm, we were able to sit down with the owner of the house and get to know him and his story. We are so glad we were able to build a relationship with him and bless him by cleaning his house! He was so grateful! 

We got to serve another family in the local community by power washing their house! We were glad to be able to bless them by doing this! 

Today a group of us also worked at The Dock putting up some drywall, cutting wood pieces and working on electrical wiring. We are glad to be able to work on this building that will be used for great ministry in the near future. 

This morning we met the mayor of Clendenin and got to hear a little about the history of the town. She then gave us some projects to complete around the community. We all prayed together before we went out for the day and she expressed her thanks for us being here. 

Today we spent time in the town's square pulling weeds along the sidewalks, cleaning the curbs so they can be painted, and washing down the sidewalks and windows of the stores in the town. While we were doing this, many people in the community stopped by to talk with us and expressed their thanks and we were glad to have conversations with them. 

Another group of us finished up weeding by the river bank that was started yesterday. One of the local ladies who lives near the river bank saw us weeding and came out to talk with us. She shared her story with us and ended up blessing us by buying pizza for us! It was a joy to get to meet her and talk with her!
