St. Peter and St. Paul Anglican

We arrived last night in Jackson. YAY!! 

After some much-needed rest, we woke up this morning and went and worshiped with a local church here in Jackson. 

We were blessed this afternoon with a trip to the Museum of Mississippi History and Civil Rights. 

So much knowledge was grown from our visit, and I think that it gives us even more joy to serve this community. 

Yesterday we started off our service week strong! We did the prep work and started to repaint classrooms for a local elementary school. 

In the afternoon, we enjoyed a first day of VBS at MadCAAP. It was a joy to meet the kids, do crafts, and learn about commitment and running the race of life! 

For our second day of VBS today, we talked more about commitment and focused on listening to God. Our students helped to created hand motions for teaching this weeks Bible memory verse, which is 1 Timothy 4:8. It was awesome to see the kids memorize God’s Word with us! 

Today was our last ministry day and we went out with a bang! We finished painting two classrooms at the elementary school, had many adventures in VBS, and enjoyed some fellowship with our partner church at the Mississippi Braves baseball game. What a blessing to serve this community this week! 

For our final day in Jackson we got to go kayaking! We had a blast getting out on the water and enjoying some good local southern food after. We were also blessed to end our week shopping for the ministry home we got to stay in that is about to open. What a blessing this week has been!
