Face(?) Painting Station

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 15, 2022 6:30 PM

Brooke, Julie, and Connie did such a good job painting everyone's hands and faces. Thankfully, none of the kids asked for anything too difficult!

Tie Dye Station

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 15, 2022 11:52 PM

Almost everyone was engaged with making tie-dye bandanas! Even Pastor Dimas made one for himself!

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 15, 2022 11:54 PM

Thank God a lot of people made bracelets and enjoyed doing so!

Water Balloons Station

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 15, 2022 11:58 PM

This was a lot of fun! Most of the boys tried the slingshot and eventually found out it hit too hard. 😅  Instead of the slingshot, we kept using just our hands to throw that balloons and enjoyed an incredible time with the kids.

Meal Distribution

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 16, 2022 12:03 AM

God led us to a neighborhood with many needs in Santa Cruz, so we went house by house giving them cooked meals to cover their physical need, and our prayers and blessings to cover their spiritual needs. We pray they accept Jesus in their hearts and find their purpose and life in Him.

Bonfire 🔥

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 16, 2022 12:20 AM

Yes, Pastor Dimas and his incredible team set up a bonfire for us!  John shared some of his testimony with us and then we worshiped God with open hearts under the stars and a great bright moon.

Secret Cave

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 16, 2022 12:25 AM

John and Pastor Rick sneaked out in the middle of the bonfire to see a new hidden cave they're creating at the church. Can y'all believe this was done in two weeks by one single person?

How Great is Our God!

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 16, 2022 12:29 AM

May the Holy Spirit set a fire in every single one of us. This day couldn't have been better! God's moving, and He's moving fast!
How Great is Our God!

Jesus Made us Family!

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 17, 2022 12:28 AM

Pastor Dimas and Pastor Charles were led by the Holy Spirit today during service. God wants us to lean on our brother's and sisters' shoulders and to share our burdens with each other.

Powerful Prayers

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 17, 2022 7:16 AM

After the church service, we got the chance to talk to some local people and pray for them. The unity in the family of Christ is what makes us strong.

Time for a Hike!

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 17, 2022 7:19 AM

Those giant plants are sugar cane plants; you won't believe what we did after this picture. (To be continued...)
Time for a Hike!

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 17, 2022 8:32 AM

We got to a Trapiche, the place where sugar cane is processed. Since we didn't have oxen to get the juice from the cane, we did all the work! What a joyful moment it was to see Brooke and Charles running together strong and beautiful!

Pastores Turn

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 17, 2022 8:50 AM

Of course, Pastor and Pastora couldn't miss the chance of running together around the sugar cane. Just look at those smiles!

Tapa de Dulce

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 17, 2022 9:02 AM

This is tapa de dulce, the product of the process. After boiling the cane juice and processing it a little more, they pour it into these wooden molds. We can tell you that it tastes so good and sweet!

Tapa de Dulce

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 17, 2022 9:07 AM

Oh! We also got a worship team! The girls were able to share their amazing and blessed voices with the whole congregation.

Hike #2

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 17, 2022 9:11 AM

After the Trapiche we went for a hike to a lookout point. It was definitely a blessing to get some exercise after eating so much sugar!

Lookout #1

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 17, 2022 9:15 AM

His creation leaves us breathless. Looking at all that was done by our Father in Heaven and realizing we are part of that amazing, precious work of art is a great honor.

Food Distribution Bags

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 17, 2022 9:23 AM

All of the team was moving so quickly and efficiently packing the bags for food distribution that all the pictures we took are blurry! We are ready to let God work through us and bless some families!

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 17, 2022 10:12 AM

Mr. Wilmar and his wife came to bring the whole batch of tapa de dulce. It was an honor to bless this hard-working family by buying the product of the labor of their hands.

Cook's Family

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 12:35 AM

This couple is in charge of the kitchen this week. Their marriage has been going through spiritual warfare since they decided to serve God with excellence this week.

We prayed over them and their children and God blessed them with bags of food and other supplies. Glory to God!

Grateful with the Little

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 12:47 AM

A way to show appreciation to Pastor Dimas and Pastora Adriela's family is to give them a taste of the great work they do for others.

The feeding program for the children of the community, giving cooked food to families, and even taking food from their own house to feed other people in need is just a little part of all the work pastors do, so we gave them this humble present from God so they can nurture their bodies and warm their souls.

Rewards from the Lord

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 12:51 AM

After two packed days full of ministry, we can tell God's used the team in wonderful ways, and He's given us beautiful nights after all the work and service!

Food/Hope Distribution

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 1:01 AM

What an unbelievable ministry this is! We got to go to one of the church leader's homes. Last March she was by herself taking care of her grandchildren and praying that her daughter would come back home and care for them herself. Almost a year later, her daughter is home and she is going to church more often. Praise the Lord! God is powerful and so are the prayers of a mother!

Food/Hope Distribution

Food/Grace Distribution

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 1:09 AM

We also went to pastor Cirilo's home. He was the pastor of the area before pastor Dimas. We showed him our respect and prayed over him for health, strength, and that he can "run to finish the race well" as he told us.

Farm Work

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 1:19 AM

After a couple of sweaty, dirty hours working the land, we were so thankful and honored to help with the farm ministry. We prepared some of the land and planted some seeds while praying over them.
Farm Work

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 1:25 AM

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Prov. 22:6

It is so admirable to see Dimas Jr. working so hard and believing in his father's vision as much as his older sisters do.

Blessed Plants

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 1:30 AM

Still, other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Matthew 13:8

Shoutout to Drew and his hand modeling skills.

Costumes Competition

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 1:37 AM

The community had a blast with this family game! Laughter and pizza are the best combination, and everyone can tell that a special joy coming from God's presence filled the place!

Yes, the moon was that big! God has been so good to us and has given us so many beautiful and rewarding moments!

Food/Love Distribution

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 1:50 AM

We had the pleasure of visiting Pastora Adriela's mom, Tita. We've missed her so much this week! This is the first trip that she is not able to come to the church every day to love and spoil us; she has an injury in her knee and she's waiting for God to heal her. We prayed over her body and her kind and loving heart.

Time with Pastors

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 1:57 AM

We LOVE hearing this family and ministry's testimony. It was a very emotional and intimate moment that ended up in a powerful and beautiful prayer time over Pastor and Pastora's marriage and children.

Lookout #2

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 9:52 AM

Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for You.

Jeremiah 32:17

Pastor Dimas took us to a beautiful place to teach us about the Word and admire God's creation.

God Empowers Us

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 3:55 PM

God fills our hearts every time Pastor Dimas teaches us with such humbleness and transparency. He sets an example of what a man of God looks like.

God Please Bless their Souls

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 3:59 PM

We finished the afternoon with a prayer over this amazing family. We blessed them and declared God's provision and protection over their lives.
God Please Bless their Souls

by Josué Toruño Madriz | January 19, 2022 4:03 PM

This baby goat was born last Friday, the same day we arrived here! We feel honored and blessed because pastor Dimas named her Carolina as a way to keep us close!

Hello from the other side THIS IS A POWER TEAM!!! I wish I was there with you guys but hey if anything goes wrong, it’s not my fault anymore… blame Charles. Remember, your plane tickets worked… I’ll take a bow for that one while I’m on the couch. But in all seriousness (something you won’t get often as I write on here) I’m praying that God will use each of you as a vessel for His glory. That He will open your eyes to see the things that He wants you to see, hear the things He wants you to hear, and that you will be His hands and Feet this week as you pour into others and allow yourself to be poured into. I’m praying for each one of you. Keep Jesus at the center! Especially during the Children’s program today! OK GUYS that is all for now. Love you!
