C3 Students

We have arrived at New Community Church in Dolton and are eager to serve this week! Kid’s camp starts in the morning!

Today was the first day with the kid’s camp! It was a blessing to meet the students and Dr. Nicole who runs the camp, can’t wait to be back tomorrow!

This afternoon we got to serve Mr. Knuckles and the Parks District by weeding near the field house!

Day 2 of kid’s camp was a success! 

We taught some dances, played a game called "Electric," made gospel bracelets, and Justin shared the good news with chemistry! It was a blessing to see the kid’s engage with the gospel story and be encouraged to share it with someone in their lives!

Day 2 of serving at the parks district we got to weed whack, mow the lawn, and do some more weeding around a couple playgrounds. Additionally, we got to meet and serve alongside another church team from the area!

After a delicious lunch grilled up by Mr. Knuckles himself, this afternoon we got to head over to Dr. Scott’s food pantry to help clean up some damage that was done by heavy rains over the last couple weeks. We replaced paneling and cleaned up some rooms, here’s a picture by the beautiful mural in the entryway!

Today and yesterday for kid’s camp we provided skits of Bible stories like the Good Samaritan and David and Goliath for the kids! 

The students heard about the good news of Jesus Christ through these skits which was incredible to share with them.
