Jamul Community Church

The team arrived this afternoon and we kicked off our trip with dinner at a local taco shop, El Paisa. We look forward to all the Lord is going to do in and through us. 

This week the men are sleeping in the sanctuary of the church, which is also where they store cars to keep them safe. We love the creativity of the local church! 

After breakfast, and before our ministry started for the day, we enjoyed a rowdy game of Spike Ball. 

This morning, after breakfast and devotions, we went to a local grocery store to get food to bless families with. We look forward to ministering to families this week. 

Today we visited with two families and brought them food. It was a great way to get to know the community a little as well as pray for them. 

Today during food distribution we met Jessica, a single mom, who asked for prayer for herself and her family. Perfect because PRAYING is our middle name.  

We have grown! The first day we had just a couple of kids for kids ministry and today we have more than 15. Praise God!

Going into today we didn’t know we would join a service tonight. Going into the service we didn’t know our team was leading worship. But when your objective is to lift up, encourage, and assist the local church… where you see an opportunity you GO FOR IT. And our team did that tonight. Woohoo!

This morning our team is out meeting with families that are not super connected to the church. It’s a great way to encourage families. 

Yesterday we taught the story of David & Goliath. To our surprise, a good number of the kids had never heard this story. Imagine how they will respond to the story of Jesus today?

It’s always fun to have a birthday on trips, but today we got the opportunity to have a double birthday. Woohoo!
