After many hours of travel, plus some delays and a night in Fairbanks, we made it to the First Baptist Church of North Pole where we are staying for the week. We are tired, but ready to start serving the people here.

After a great sermon we had pizza for lunch with a classic Alaskan topping, reindeer! Tomorrow we start our ministry, but today we rest and have fellowship with one another.

Our team put their heads together to help the church sort boxes and figure out the best way to reach some important tools and supplies for their ministry. Praise God for the great organizers we have on the team!

Today is Brian and Max's birthday as well. We are celebrating 🎉 them while remembering the freedom we have as a nation.

We started working at the Rescue Mission today. The Rescue Mission serves individuals and families that are experiencing homelessness by offering emergency services as well as hope through the gospel. Volunteers often help with food prep, sorting donations, and various projects around the property. The mission also has daily Bible studies and chapels that anyone can attend.

We started doing some landscaping at Rescue Mission. We pulled roots, put in a barrier, and leveled dirt.

We knocked out two big rooms full of donations. Sister Barbie has not been around because of her sickness, but she is thankful for the work we have done. She told us that people will soon start coming to get supplies to prepare for the winter. We are glad we can be a part of this ministry.

We continued our work on the landscaping at Rescue Mission. We started by cutting and laying the barrier for the rocks to be spread on.

Our team went back to the Rescue Mission and finished the work that was given to us. We had people who worked at the Rescue Mission personally thank us for what we did and assured us that this will benefit the community.
