Forward Church

We arrived to our lodging last night and got settled in. This morning we worshipped with Clendenin UMC.

Frank and Pastor Don had a great chat about fishing in the Elk River (which runs behind the church) before service.

After church and a delicious Sunday dinner (lunch), we went hiking at Coonskin Park.

It was nice to have a little time of fun and relaxation before ministry starts tomorrow.

Painting and cleaning up the Dock!

The Dock is a building that the community of Clendenin donated to Praying Pelican Missions and will eventually be turned into housing for Pelicans all around!

We had 12 kids come to our first day of VBS! They will be making crafts and playing games this week, but most importantly, they will be learning about Jesus and how much He loves each one of them.

We are praying that they will tell their friends about how much fun they had, and we will have even more friends tomorrow!

Today we worked on organizing donated items that were given to the Union Mission for their amazing thrift store. Working hard!!

We spent more time today working on The Dock. 

We got so much done this week! Getting closer and closer to the goal of having it ready for people to stay in it! Thank you so much Clendenin for donating this building to PPM, it will be such a blessing for years to come!

Today was our last day at Union Mission!

The team built these shelves for the wonderful people at Union Mission in their thrift store!

They need more space for all of the donations that people bless this organization with, what a great "problem" to solve!

We took a break and visited the local ice cream shop in Clendenin!

While we were ordering our ice cream we ran into the mayor of Clendenin! So cool!

The team is on their way back home. Praying Pelican Missions is so grateful to have them as part of our family.

We didn't say "good-bye" just "See you soon"
