We arrived safely in Alaska and settled into our home for the week at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church! We are excited to worship with our host church in the morning and serve the community of Fairbanks this week!

Yesterday, Wade joined a small group from our Texas missionaries to begin painting the blue trim of a building on a campground. The camp is set to host almost 500 children throughout this summer and will be in use 10/12 months of this year (the other two being completely closed due to large amounts of snow).

The Fairbanks Rescue Mission has a green collar program at the city recycling center, and we got to help them out with all the cardboard. This is a huge undertaking, so they were excited for some extra hands!

Love INC has a furniture bank that is in need of a paint job, but it is a lot of work to move the furniture around in order to paint. It is slow progress, but our team has been persistent as we bless this nonprofit so that they can continue blessing the community.

It has been so fun to see kids coming back to our backyard Bible Club each day! Today we had to move indoors because of the rain, but all our friends still came to play and learn about Jesus! We got to share the Gospel with them today too!

Tonight, our team got to participate and share during the worship service. Some of our team sang, some shared testimonies, and some even preached! We ended the service with the congregation of Mount Pleasant praying over us.

Today, most of our team traveled to Denali National Park for a fun day! Some of our team members went to the Chena Hot Springs. We all loved seeing more of this region of Alaska, and we are in awe of God's creation!
