Our mission team has arrived in this beautiful country of the Dominican Republic (our team consists of 21 participants from across the USA). We are now looking forward to arriving at our host church/lodging site for a meet and greet time with the local church family :)

Our First Day of Ministry

Today we started the morning visiting the Batey Guajabo. We had the opportunity to share God's love with the amazing people by delivering needed supplies and playing with the beautiful children.

Haitian Church Service

On Sunday, we enjoyed a Haitian Church Service in La Romana - - the room was filled with energy and joy, along with much singing, dancing, and sharing the love of God :)

Food Distribution

After Church on Sunday, we served lunch to the church families - - - it was a great time of fellowship with our new friends :)

Water-Filter Education

Today we installed water-filters into needy homes in Batey Campo Nuevo. To begin the process, we educated the families about the mechanics and proper care of the filters. These filters should last for 10+ years - - - - a true blessing!

Filter Buckets

We prepared buckets to be attached to each of the water-filters - - - gravity is the force used to move the water through the filter - - - perfect, practical filter with no parts that need replacing :)

Home to Receive Filter

Today we entered homes to install water-filters. The people in this village have been getting ill due to drinking the water; and it is a great financial hardship to buy drinking water, The water-filters that we are installing today take the need to buy water 'out of the picture' - - - - now the saved money can be used to buy food :) Gloria a Dios!!!
