Baptist Student Union

We arrived at 5:15am, and went straight to bed. After some z's, we joined Carroll Christian Schools for some pinchos on the beach! They were very tasty. Afterwards we went in a ride around Old San Juan. We also got our last member that flight was delayed. Tomorrow we'll be participating on the church service. We are ready to do God's work!

We are joining Iglesia Bautista de Metropolis in their worship service. We algo got to share some songs and a testimony. In Spanish! Is so wonderful to be able to praise Jesus,  doesn't matter the place!

What a special experience to go to pray for the community of Metropolis in Carolina. Some of the requests are for health, family and the community in general. 

Today we are helping a team of Youth With a Mission. They are moving to a new campsite at the island. They have helped in the island after the hurricane,  but needed help themselves and had been praying for it. And God put us here! Such a blessing to bless others!

Our group cleaning and organizing the warehouse of JUCUM. We are organizing the construction materials so that when there is a family in need they can help them as soon ppssible. 

Since early in the morning the team is already wearing gloves, machetes and shovels in hand. We are ready to work at this home in Trujillo Alto. A home with a single mother and two girls who need our help.

Like clearing a path, our group is working hard to clear a yard with machetes. Yikes!!! Beware of the K-Team (Kashaun and Kelli with machetes).

Our day has not ended. We are sharing with Juan, Vicky and her granddaughter Adamaris. We are very grateful for having received us at your home.

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! Psalm 133:1

After we finished for the day, we got a tasty treat: puertorrican ice cream! Now we are walking around Rio Piedras town square. It is filled with a lot of murals of voices wanted to be heard.

Now the church is treating us to a salsa dance class! Dance off time!

After all this week, we are now at Isla Verde beach,  relaxing and enjoying the beauty of such a beautiful island. No wonder they call it "The Island of Enchantment"!

Today, while we say our farewells,  we know a piece of Puerto Rico will always stay with us. We'll continue to pray for them, and if its God's will, we'll surely return! Until next time!
