Broadmoor United Methodist Church

We made it to Anchorage around midnight and then headed to Mat Su where we stayed for the night. 

We left Mat Su around 10 this morning and made our way to Valdez. We had about a 5 hour drive and had some stops along the way. We saw a couple of glaciers and a lot of pretty sites. 

We had to clean out a room to be able to sleep so as soon as we arrived we got to work! 

After church today we had a tour of Valdez.  It is a very small town but has some awesome views. We saw some otters and sea lions as well as went on a small hike down to a hidden beach. 

The girls are upstairs getting the hallway ready to be painted. 

Johnathon and Alex went to the radio station to talk about the Youth Rally. 

We had our first night of our Youth Rally. We had about 10 kids. We played games, had a snack, sang worship and did devotions. We had so much fun and hope to have even more kids tomorrow. 

We continued painting the upstairs of the church. We are almost done with the walls and have started to prime the kitchen so we will get to paint it tomorrow. 

After lunch we went out and did some exploring. We hiked about 4 miles in the woods and saw some beautiful sites. 

At the youth rally one of the teens wanted to lead worship. We had about the same amount of teens as we did the first night, but we are starting to form friendships with the teens of Valdez. 

We started and finished painting the kitchen a sunflower yellow. We also finished painting the rest of everything up stairs a grey. 

While the girls painted upstairs, the boys worked outside and resealed all the windows. 

For our Rec Day we went kayaking. We had so much fun. We saw some otters and sea lions, as well as some beautiful mountains. 

We left Valdez around 8 this morning to head back to Anchorage. We’ve loved our time here and will continue to pray for the people of Valdez.
