It's been such a long day, but we've finally made it to the Dominican Republic!
Once we landed, we boarded our bus and enjoyed some pizza and beautiful views as we drove across the country. We are now settling in for the night to get much needed rest as we prepare for a busy week ahead!

Wow! What an incredible moment of worship this morning. JB brought a powerful word, and we had a wonderful choir sing a song for the congregation.
It was humbling to worship amongst people who are from a different place and speak a different language. It reminded us just how big God is!

We had a full morning of construction work this morning! Most of us helped clear rocks and dirt for what will be the foundation if the expanded church building. A small team cut rebar for Lana and Jennifer to bend for the foremen to build braces.
We can't wait to get back to work tomorrow!

Go round and round!
We drove to the church this afternoon to pick up a bus load of children for kids ministry. We could've ridden the bus with them all day long, it was so much fun!

We reminded the children of the story of Noah and the Ark. They thought the animals were hilarious...especially Like and Kainan as frogs!
After story time, we painted faces, made balloon animals, colored, made necklaces, played baseball and basketball! We had so much fun with them. You could tell the kids enjoyed it to.
We finished the night with a wonderful meal of Haitian spaghetti and an awesome team meeting.
Looking forward to tomorrow!

Today looked a lot like yesterday as far as the schedule goes. Most of us spent all morning working on the construction project. Today we were mixing and pouring concrete for the footing of the church. We are becoming professionals at bucket lines!
Meanwhile, some of us went out for more outreach. Praise God for the two people who asked to receive Him today!
After lunch and rest time, we picked up a bus load of kids and took them to the park. It was so fun, and so tiring! We shared the story of Daniel in the Lions den and did some fun songs!

This morning we spent most of our time moving two huge piles of rocks to another part of the property. This involved a long assembly line, even some kids jumped in to help!
Meanwhile a few of us helped the construction men lay blocks for the beginning of the foundation!

The church hosted a beautiful farewell service for us today. We have formed some really amazing relationships on this trip that we are going to miss so much.
What a privilege it was to serve with Pastor Daniel!!
