A Couple of Grand Days!

by team | June 8, 2011 8:01 PM

The last two days here in Haiti have been incredible. We have spent a lot of time at our worksite and at an orphanage close to our lodging location. It has been so fun to get to know some of the kids and seeing how far a lot of love in a little time goes! At our worksite, we have been carrying block after block. We have been getting tired, but we know that each block will make a difference. We also told the story of David and Goliath to the kids today! They loved it! There were many gasps during "Goliath's Great Fall!" Tonight, we had a nice group of people from Good Shepherd came to our nightly meeting to sing for us. That time was treasured by all of us. Tomorrow we are going to take a long ride up the mountain to see more of the beauty of Haiti after we say our goodbyes at the site! We can't believe that our time here is almost finished! It will be an exciting day tomorrow!

Hi Stevie & team, it did our heart good to read your post this morning, we both laughed at the thought of "Goliath" falling and all those children "gasping" (good job Alex D)!! We have been praying for you every morning and have thought of you all during the day. We know it must have been very hard work the past few days, but also that every moment of it was worth it. Thank you for serving God so faithfully and for being the hands and feet of Jesus. Can't wait to see you all tomorrow. We love you.......

Hi Alex and Heather, what a good looking Bushel bunch! May the LORD bless and keep you ALL as you sow seeds of His great Gospel. I am praying for eternal fruit from your obedience. Philippians 2:13-15 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, PRESS on Beloved, I think you are amazing!
