We made it to West Virginia! After getting settled into our rooms, we ate dinner and had our orientation meeting. We are going to enjoy some play time tonight before bed time. The next two days are going to be long, hard days of work. It's a blessing to be here!

Our day started out with an introduction to Wellspring Ministries by Fred, who can-founded the ministry with his wife, Scarlett, 15 years ago when they were both in their 60's! We were so excited to get to work after hearing more about the people who will benefit from our service.

I'm just a day and 3/4 of work, we cut and hauled 25 full loads of lumber down from the mountain (twice what our partner had hoped would get done), split and stacked enough to fill two big storage sheds, and delivered several loads to families in need for the winter. We loved learning how to use chainsaws and wood splitters. We loved the people we met even more. It was an amazing day!

Our last day was rec day, and we had fun! We started out at ACE Adventures in Oak Hill, WV. We went zip lining with about 20 other people. There's nothing like hanging out in the tops of the trees on top of a mountain! It was an amazing way to see God's creation!
