We are so glad to all be together finally. We spent most of the day simply getting acquainted with our lodging facility. We are excited to go to church in the morning and really get into the ministry of the week!

When we pulled up this morning, we were so excited to hear Haitian Kreyol drifting out of the windows. It was good to finally get to our home.
We sang Come Thou Fount for the congregation. They seemed to really love it!
Maci did a wonderful job sharing her testimony of Gods faithfulness in her life. Thank you Maci!

This afternoon we spent a few hours riding around Nassau while our local staffer gave us history about the Bahamas. Bahamas has a vibrant history!
During a tour of one of the old forts, Justin got to shoot a cannon!

Lastly, we spent time at South Beach. This is a part of the island where many Haitians try to enter the Bahamas in search of something better. Many of them don't end up surviving the 500 mile journey.
We waded in the water and spent time praying.

During our first session of kids ministry, we reminded the kids what it means to love. They put together a puzzle in the shape of a heart that spelled out all of the different characteristics of love.
After the story and crafts, we enjoyed simple hanging out!

We talked about what sacrificial love looks like. The kids gave such good examples of what it looks like to love.
We colored coloring sheets, played balls, and Kristin even let some of the kids use her camera!

After kids ministry, we spent a few hours clearing the ground beside the church. Pastor told us this dry brush could spark a fire easily. We filled up the whole dumpster.

Today, our last morning with the kids, Lydia taught us about what love looks like in action with Jesus' sacrifice and making disciples. The kids loved the skit.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our time getting to know the kids in this community. Join us in praying for God to continue to make a big impression on their lives.

We've had so much fun hanging out with some boys at the park. We played rounds and rounds of knock out as well as a few games if 5 on 5.
The time with these boys have been a highlight if our week!

We had so much fun hanging out today! This morning we went to the Straw Market downtown to do some souvenir shopping. We spent the afternoon snorkeling!
It has been such a wonderful week serving with wonderful friends. We are sad to see this come to an end.
