We have arrived!

by Leah | July 12, 2011 2:26 PM

We have finally arrived! After a crazy day getting here we have made it and our going full force. God has done so many amazing things just by getting us down here and we cannot wait to see what he is going to do the rest of the week. Thank you so much for all your prayers. We miss you all and have so many stories to share with you already. God Bless you! We will update you with more pictures and stories soon!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

by Bethany R. | July 13, 2011 3:28 PM

Sorry for the lag in updates, we have been wonderfully blessed with projects to keep us busy! We have painted the inside of the church at our ministry site of Armenia Baptist Church. The painting went well and quick with so many willing people! Also, we went on visits door to door in the community inviting them to church, VBS and sharing the gospel. We had great conversations with the Belizeans we met and were able to pray with many of them about different struggles in their lives. We cannot wait to see them all again and reconnect with them tomorrow.

Orphanage Visits

by Bethany R. | July 13, 2011 3:36 PM

Today we had the opportunity to go visit the orphanage in Belmopan. The children were so polite, respectful and excited to see us. We really enjoyed getting to play with them and getting to see the smiles on their faces.

Xunantunich Recreation!

by Bethany R. | July 14, 2011 2:07 PM

Today we took some time to ourselves for recreation! We visited the Mayan Ruins at Xunantunich, Belize. These ruins showcase the biggest temples, altars and ball-courts in all of the sites in Belize. We loved getting to see such a historical site and imagining how the people lived back then. Did you know at the height of the Mayan civilization, the population of Belize was over 3 million people? That's 10 times as many people as there is in the country today! We also loved getting to see more of the rainforest and many different animals and wildlife. But quite possibly the best part was getting to the top of the largest temple and looking down on Guatemala. It was impressive to see the beautiful land our Lord has blessed us with! We then ate a quick lunch and headed to our site to kick off VBS for the evening. Thank you all for your prayers, we can feel them at work!

Painting is Finished

by Bethany R. | July 15, 2011 2:33 PM

Painting is finally done on the church in Armenia! We've worked hard on painting the inside and outside but with all of us pulling together, we finally finished. It was so awesome to get to see the before and after of the church. The Lord is good!

Church Services

We have also had the privilege to lead 3 services at the church. We led singing, had a few people share testimonies and heard a message from Pastor John.

VBS again!

by Bethany R. | July 15, 2011 2:41 PM

With our last day of VBS coming to a close, it was so hard to tell the children goodbye. We feel as if they are a part of our lives now. With many tears and long hugs, we said goodbye. Our hearts were heavy as they waved to us from the bus. We thank the Lord for His goodness in blessing us with the opportunity to meet them.
VBS again!
