Aldersgate United Methodist Church

This morning we decided to walk to church. After a 1 1/2 walk we made it to the state capital to hang out for a few minutes before church!

Today was a busy day for the group! After another successful day of sports and arts camp, the team set out for THREE different project locations. One group is scraping and painting an exterior wall at a local partner ministry, and much of the prep work is now finished. We’re excited to see what the finished product will look like!

A second group was tasked with helping a local family move apprtments. While that might not sound like a major project at first, we learned just how much the group’s presence was appreciated and what a difference it made.

Our third group today helped sort and clean items at a local non-profit that provides specific supplies to foster parents who have a child placed in their care, especially in an emergency, and might not have all the necessary items. It was great to learn about how families will be helped by the work.

More fun on the schedule for tomorrow as sports and art camp wraps up. Please pray for extra kids at camp and smooth progress on the projects!

Nick, Will, Sam, Taber, Brian, Daniel, and Ben helped a family move yesterday! The family had been been evicted a month earlier and just found a place to live. Our partner church Sanctuary called on us so we hopped in a car, grabbed a uhaul and headed to help!
