We arrived in Memphis around 4:30, this afternoon. We got checked in to our hotel and went out for dinner. After dinner, we had our first team meeting. We can't wait to get to church in the morning and meet the people of Monument of Love Baptist Church.

After lunch, we went back to the church. We did some door to door ministry, talking and praying for the neighbors, also inviting them to come to church.

This morning 10 of us got the chance to make friendship bracelets with some of the kids at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. It was an awesome experience for all of us! We were the first PPM group to get to serve in this way in Memphis.

This is an other ministry where we put our hands and feet to work!
They prepared, bagged and served more sandwiches than we could count to homeless and people who are on a low budget in the Downtown Memphis area!

Monday night we closed out our meeting time by praying with the groups we are working in this week. This group is serving at Memphis Athletic Ministries. They are helping out at the golf course which is free to the public, until school getgets out. Then, they get to go to one of the many gyms across town that MAM runs, and hang out with the students and play sports alongside them.

The other group is serving at a good mission in the mornings and spending the afternoons with Pastor James at Hope Fellowship Baptist Church. At the church, they are helping out with some technology needs the pastor has and tutoring students after school.

We are back at it this morning at the golf course, working hard to make sure the course is in great shape!

Today we went back to the kitchen. We found there were far more hands waiting for food than yesterday, but along with that we also had more hands than yesterday to serve, we were reminded of God’s faithfulness and also that when we work asthe body of Christ is easier!
Was a day with challenges, but there were joys along the way.

Each afternoon, the athletic group has been going to one of the gyms that Memphis Athletic Ministries runs. They have gotten to interact with other students by playing basketball and volleyball. Yesterday afternoon the guys also got to be a part of the devotional time with the middle school boys.

This morning our group is working away at separating golf balls by brand and type. Another group will come behind us and box up the golf balls, so that MAM can sell them to support the minitry that they do

Each of these garbage bins has about 2500 golf balls in them to be sorted!

We went back today to St. Vincent dePaul. We worked hard, served food and smiles! Was nice to see how relationships grow so fast. We had people thanking us for coming, and their faces now are familiar. Is always hard to day goodbye.

After lunch toda, this group did a conversational training to sharpen their conversation skills before going to the nursing home and working with students again after school.

This team spent each afternoon with Pastor James and his wife Sandra, along with the many other volunteers who keep the Hope Center running all school year. It was a blessing to serve with them this week!

The group that did not go to Calvary Rescue Mission on Sunday got the chance to go today. They served hot dogs and hamburgers.
Christian also had the opportunity to lead us in a couple of worship songs in the chapel service with the men.

We visit a local Nursing Home in Memphis. It was very energetic playing with the balloons! Was very colorful as many of their personalities. We also did a skit for them, and they enjoyed it as much as we did

Thursday we got a chance to explore different parts of the city. We started our morning at the National Civil Rights Museum. Then, we ate lunch at Central BBQ. After that, we went to the Big River Crossing and walked on the bridge over the Mississippi River to Arkansas! Next, we walked around downtown and got to buy some souvenirs before ending at the Peabody Hotel watching the Peabody ducks march back up to their rooftop home. It was a busy day, but so fun!
